Bringing Smiles Through Education: BIG Foundation’s Outreach in Kolhewadi Tribal Hamlet
On 20 July 2025, BIG Foundation organized a meaningful educational support and community outreach program at Kolhewadi Adivasi Pada, Murbad, with the mission of encouraging education among tribal children by providing essential school supplies.
Education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives. However, many children living in remote tribal areas face challenges in accessing even the most basic educational resources. Understanding this need, BIG Foundation took the initiative to support young students by distributing essential learning materials before the academic session.
During the drive, volunteers distributed a wide range of educational supplies, including:
- School bags
- Notebooks (Long Books)
- Notebooks (Short Books)
- Pens
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Colour Crayons
- School stationery
- Snacks (Khau)
The smiles on the children’s faces reflected the true impact of this initiative. Receiving new school materials not only boosted their enthusiasm for learning but also gave them confidence to continue their education with renewed motivation.
Supporting Education in Tribal Communities
Children in tribal regions often face financial and geographical barriers that limit their access to quality education. Many families struggle to provide basic school supplies due to economic constraints.
Through this initiative, BIG Foundation aimed to reduce these challenges by ensuring that every child has the necessary stationery and learning materials to begin their academic journey without worry.
The educational kits distributed during the event were carefully prepared to meet students’ everyday classroom needs, helping them stay engaged in school activities and improve their learning experience.
Community Participation
The program received tremendous support from local residents, volunteers, and well-wishers who contributed their time and efforts to make the event successful. The interaction between volunteers and children created a joyful and encouraging environment, strengthening the Foundation’s commitment to community development.
